GMC Sierra is a front-engine, 4-wheel drive truck with huge pickup. General Motors is the only auto-manufacturer that supplies hybrid segment trucks powered by impressive technology, electric motivation and sophisticated transmissions. However, the vehicle could be provided with better comfort at the upper portion of the instrumental panel. It has 5-passenger capacity and offered in 4-door style. Graphic display helps in monitoring the condition of the truck, and also tells about the state and charge of the battery pack.

Sierra’s trailing capacity is one of the vital factors. The upper limit of its capacity is about 6100 pounds. But, 6.0 liter has greater capacity – it can handle up to 10,400 lbs. The length of the vehicle is about 239 inches, while the width and height ar 79.9 inches and 74 inches in touring trim. The weight of the GMC Sierra is about 5860 pounds.

t the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, but today the French company has finally brought us the final design of the production ready model for us to mull over. Production will begin in the first half of 2011The Fluence Z.E. is an entirely electric vehicle powered by a synchronous electric motor with rotor coil that delivers a total of 93 HP 11,000rpm, while maximum torque is 226Nm. The electric motor is recharged using a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 22kW/h.

The sedan’s design is defined by taut and fluid lines with the Renault logo, foglamp surrounds, and headlamp brows. The design extend to the lower part of the headlamp mask which is painted in a blue-hued color. The Renault Fluence Z.E.’s interior is based on the same layout as the internal combustion-engined version. Only the rev-counter has been replaced by a bespoke instrument panel which displays data concerning the remaining range and battery charge. The decorative trim of the uncluttered dashboard is picked out in a color that is exclusive to the model, while the center console includes the displays “forward”, “reverse”, “neutral” and “parking” which are the different positions for the transmission control lever.

All-electric cars are coming out of the woodwork, so it really isn’t an ingenius idea to come out with a production model for the Fluence Z.E. We can bet that Renault is kicking themselves for not putting it into production earlier, but they could have been waiting for someone like Daimler to come along. The Daimler/Renault alliance was just announced on April 7, 2010.

The shared components and common corporate management created substantial economies of scale, while the distinctions between the divisions created (in the words of GM President Alfred P. Sloan) a “ladder of success”, with an entry-level buyer starting out with a “basic transportation” Chevrolet, rising through Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick and ultimately to Cadillac.

The postwar automobile industry became enamoured with the concept of “planned obsolescence”, implemented by both technical and styling innovations with a typical 3-year product cycle. In this cycle, a new basic body shell is introduced and then modified for the next two years with minor styling changes. GM, Ford, and Chrysler competed vigorously in this new restyling environment.

Durant lost control of GM in 1910 to a bankers’ trust, because of the large amount of debt taken on in its acquisitions coupled with a collapse in new vehicle sales. A few years later, Durant started the Chevrolet Motor car company and through this he secretly purchased a controlling interest in GM. Durant took back control of the company after one of the most dramatic proxy wars in American business history. Shortly after, he again lost control, this time for good, after the new vehicle market collapsed. Alfred Sloan was picked to take charge of the corporation and led it to its post war global dominance. This unprecedented growth of GM would last into the early 1980s when it employed 349,000 workers and 150 assembly plants.
